HOURS OF OPERATION
Every Bottom Covered is a diaper bank in Buffalo NY. A diaper bank is similar to a food bank with the difference that we distribute diapers and not food. It is the first of its kind in the city and will distribute diapers directly as well as partner with organizations who have like-minded missions to assist low-income families in Buffalo NY.
Every Bottom Covered addresses diaper need need in the city of Buffalo NY. By providing diapers, wipes and other baby needs to families and building partnerships for other organizations working toward the greater good, Every Bottom Covered helps to take address an unmet need and raise awareness to those costs being included in community, city, and state funding decisions.
What defines diaper need? Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to remain clean, dry and healthy.
What are the consequences of diaper need? One in three families suffers from diaper need in the U.S. Based on present funding in NYS and many other areas in the United States, diapers cannot be purchased with food stamps. Babies who remain too long in a soiled diaper are exposed to increased health risks and concerns. Diaper need creates additional stress and concern to the family as well. Most child care centers, even free and subsidized facilities, require parents to provide a day’s supply of disposable diapers; therefore, many parents cannot go to work or school if they cannot leave their babies at child care.
Why is Every Bottom Covered a diaper bank and how does it addresses diaper need and raise its importance?
